Zurücksetzen des Root-Passwortes


Es ist sicher schon jedem mal passiert, dass er sein Passwort vergessen hat. Beim Rootpasswort ist das besonders ungeschickt.
So kann man es aber wieder mit Hilfe der Kanotix-CD zurücksetzen:

# su
# mount /dev/hdXY /media/hdXY
# chroot /media/hdXY passwd

(für XY muss man die Kanotix "/" Partition angeben)

Jetzt kannst du ein neues vergeben.
