I currently have 2005-4 installed on ha3. It is in really good shape.
I had XP on ha1. Deleted it. But, can't seem to get Kanotix to open ha1 from ha3.
Tried qparted to reformat....various formats. Each worked. None able to be mounted from ha3.
Can I move the installation from ha3 to ha1 w/o completely reinstalling?
Or, could I get ha3 to recognize ha1 as extended? |

whow have you deleted XP, removed hda1 with fdisk?
Please post the result form fdisk -l
1 Primary partition on /hda must exist with the option bootable. |

No...no...no, I only deleted XP...hda1 is still there!
I think I solved my problems, more or less.
I copied my Home directory over to the new partition along with a new install of 2005-4. Most things are working fine...some kinda ify.
But, I'm learning. |

that cant be done from linuxside, XP is still on your HD. the only way to wipe XP from HD is: FDISK.
with this programm running as root(same name under XP is administrator) you ca delete the whole partition.
before talking about other how-to please post the output from: fdisk -l. |
