I did a fresh install of the latest Kanotix and then did an upgrade. I have worked with apt for a long time so the minor problems where of no real concern. BUT, to finish the upgrade I needed to install a kernel of higher number than the Kanotix 2.6.14 kernel. so I had to grab a Debian kernel.
The problem is that I wanted to test how Kanotix handles wireless, WPA, and the rt2500 chip "out of the box" and now I have lost "the box."
Hmmm. Udev claims it will not run with a kernel under 2.6.15 and I can find no Kanotix kernel past 2.14 --- are there some Kanotix kernels hidden somewhere? I can just wait if there are none. |

yeah, they are "hidden" right on this website on the left panel towards the bottom. |
