I want to istall 2006 Rc on a PII 400Mhz with 256M Ram. What cheat codes do I have to use? I already have a working install with some glitches.

depends on chipset. intel VX veryold noapm noacpi
others VIA/Intel noacpi
SIS same as IntelVX

Try with none at all, it should work, otherwise there's something broken and a BIOS update might be the first thing to try; advising is easier if there's an actual problem to start with.

Thx for help. I'll wait for a final release and ask for help then. It's only my test computer, so it's not so important to get everything working. Smilie

Update for older PC's vith intel LX-Chipset. would work only with older Kernels or from syslinux diskboot.

After diskboot is done,you can install linux from the console.

My lappy now has Easter RC4 on it,, it is an MMXand clocks at the massive speed of 199.. so i run Icewm as default, as kde is too much for the poor little thing
