In Control Centre > Internet & Network > > Network Setting > Domain name System (Dns)> I try to add new Dns serve-kde, I type ip number, when i'm try to save, it stated that "You have to type an alias first", what was mean by that ? Can anybody Explain to me ?  |

The name of the computer your adding, example Kanotixbox is my main, my other box is Kanotixbox2 and so on and so on. Not my real names but used as examples. I hope I explained that right  |

| Where tu put it, if not mistaken, when i click add, it just give me place to put ip address only...can u explain to me more details...please, thanks |

Ok I will try these are examples:
Hostname: Kanotixbox
This is where you enter your computers name (what you named your computer when installing kanotix)
Domain name: If on Domain, the name of it
Domain Name Servers: DNS numbers of your ISP you are connected to usually 2 sets of numbers like
72.179.68.15
72.179.68.16
I probably made no sense to you sorry if I was no help to you, best way I can explain it |
