Hello!
I upgraded to 2006-01-RC4 and all was ok. Only a mount problem of cdwriter and dvd/cd drives: "bad url". So I changed fstab:
Quote:
/dev/hdd /mnt/hdd udf,iso9660 users,noauto,rw,sync 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/hdc udf,iso9660 users,noauto,ro 0 0
Old problem went away an other one appeared:
/dev/hdc doesn't read rewritable disks and ejects them just immediately. It is an excessive interpretation of "ro" option, isn't it ? |

I changed my fstab, following your suggestion, now it is:
Code:
/dev/hdd /mnt/hdd udf,iso9660 users,noauto,rw,sync 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
but the situation is the same.
I note that when the cdrom drive is mounted with a non writable disk the url is: system:/media/hdc
Many thanks for your help! |

The problem was I used a blank cd-rw to check the newly installed kanotix dvd and cd-rw devices. It should be obvious that a readonly device ejects a blank rewritable disk .
Thanks for your support. |
