Ich habe leider ohne Erfolg versucht, wie im Handbuch Kapitel 4.8.2 beschrieben, den Kanotix ,,silent" Bootsplash einzurichten.
Ich bekomme folgende Fehlerneldung:

root@KanotixBox:/usr/local/bin# install-bootsplash-acritox.sh
Error: Your kernel 2.6.18-kanotix-1 doesn't support Bootsplash!
root@KanotixBox:/usr/local/bin#
Wenn ich das richtig übersetze, heißt das, dass mein kernel 2.6.18-kanotix-1 den Bootsplash nicht unterstützt! 
Ich habe kanotix 2006-01-RC4 installiert, auf etch umgestellt und ein d-u gemacht.
Kann mir einer weiter helfen? |

| Es geht per splashy und das ist normal eh scho ein silent boot, wenns denn unterstützt wird. |
