I have a Kanotix live USB with persistence enabled and all works well. If I choose the glfx boot option it takes me to a tty Debian 8 login screen requiring a user & password. I've tried live, kano, user and whatnot, but no luck.
Any advice? |

The username is "kanotix" and the password is "live", but it only asks if X crashed before. Show "infobash -v" as user. |

I'm using SuSE image writer for Windows to write the ISO to the USB stick. Kanotix works perfect if I boot the non-glfx version. I just want Kanotix to use the ATi video card instead of Intel.
Probably X crashes when I try the glfx mode that's why it's asking the user&password.
P.S. I didn't try "kanotix" and "live", but I'll try today. |

I tried gfx mode and black screen again, just tty. It asked for user and password, so I used "kanotix" and "live" and then I typed "startx" and it returned "connection to x server failed". |

Don't try it, you can use PRIME instead. |

I was afraid of that...
L.E. After searching a bit, the situation is helpless, thus I'm stuck with Intel video for the moment. |
