Post subject: no sound from monitor speakers

OS: latest 64bit Kanotix.
Installed on my friend's pc.
Speakers on tft monitor do not work (worked in Vista). Sound from mainboard soundcard works but he does not have speakers and not interested in getting..
I installed pulseaudio hoping the chip (audio chip in video card I suppose) would show in Systemsettings -audio system. Did not.
Had no time to look more at it, guess i will have to blacklist soundcard, load correct module etc?
whats best way to set up? |
